Red and Gold Chinese Inspired Nails

August 18, 2013

Today's manicure is inspired by the traditional red and gold Chinese fabric. I really love how this came out, and I love the fact that this was really easy to create thanks to the pretty floral stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.

For the base I applied two coats of Barry M Passion Fruit, which is an orange tinted red creme (It has a great formula, really good pigment and dries quite fast with a glossy finish. Love this collection!).
For the stamping I used Barry M Gold Foil (my favorite gold polish for stamping) and used the floral designs from the QA74 stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.

The QA74 plate has several matching floral designs, some smaller and some were large enough to cover the entire thumb, which was great for me since I have long and pretty wide nails.
The patterns were etched nicely in the plate and they stamped flawlessly each time. I really loved this plate and I think it's a good find especially since it's only $1.99 now (don't forget to use my 10% discount code below). Even tho I have countless stamping plates with floral designs, I really loved this plate and I can see myself use it again with pleasure.

I hope you liked my Chinese inspired design, let me know what you think of it!
Thank you for reading!
