Today I'm bringing you the second post in the Jewelry & Nail Art series, this time it's a festive manicure with a Christmasy touch. Although the holidays are behind us, I still didn't get to share my Christmas manicure with you because I was a bit late with getting this post done in time, and I guess now it's a good time as any!
For this look I got my new stacking rings from Galisfly to go along with my classy yet playful manicure for Christmas.

I decided I needed this one after seeing it on Natalia's blog a while back ago, it just looked fabulous on her and the mattified version looked stunning. So finally I had the chance to try Color Club Berry And Bright from the Holiday 2012 Winter Affair Collection.
Color Club Berry And Bright is a beautiful red berry, I'm not sure how to define the finish of this color - it's some sort of combination of tiny flakes and metallic finish. The color was a bit different from what I expected, it has a more red tone while I was hoping to get something more pinkish, but still it's a lovely color.
Application was quite streaky for me with this one, I found that the formula of this polish wasn't really pleasant to work with and it was really thick. The coverage was nice with one coat, but a second coat was needed for a perfect look. In the images below you can see two coats of Berry And Bright, the first two photos are with no top coat so is the last one, and all the rest of them are with matte top coat.
I really wanted to achieve the gorgeous velvety look I saw on Natalia's blog but I guess I didn't mattified it enough. I did like the look of it better with the matte coat, but now when I look at the photos again, it doesn't look really matte in some photos. I guess I should have been more generous with my matte top coat, but still - it's a lovely polish. I think I will keep this one for next Christmas since it has that lovely look of a Christmas ornament.

For my weekend mani I decided to combine the gorgeous Orly Devil May Care with Essie Jag-u-are to create this festive look.
Orly Devil May Care is a red and gold glitter with clear base, from the Naughty or Nice collection. The glitters are quite dense and I think you can get it to cover your nails fully if you apply about 3-4 coats, but I didn't try to do this yet. I applied only one coat over Essie Jag-u-are and I think this combination rocks! I've tried this polish over a creamy red (which was a bit more orange toned) and I like this version much better. I think that Jag-u-are really compliments the glitters and they look fabulous together.
I really love this on my nails and I have a feeling I will be repeating this looks soon enough ;)

Essie Jag-u-are is a gorgeous shimmery red, and I think it's a perfect red for Christmas.
It has a very delicate and lovely golden shimmer that looks almost metallic, but I think it's still in the shimmery zone. Like most of Essie's polishes, the application was a delight. It had a pretty good coverage with the first coat but I applied two coats for an opaque and stronger color.
I really love this red, it's so festive and... may I say sexy? Love it! ;)
Today was pretty cloudy so I couldn't get photos with a good light but these are still pretty.
The last photo is taken under the lamp light, and you can see it looks more metallic.
The color itself is very pretty and you can see in the first photo the gorgeous golden shimmer I was talking about, it shows more in the bottle.
I think this is my favorite red for Christmas. Have you picked yours already? :)

This is my first mani with the new Nailz Craze NC03 stamping plate I've designed. I just got them yesterday, and I was so excited to try them out! I had hard time deciding what design I should use first, but then I decided that a Christmas sweater pattern will be perfect for my first mani.
The design is originally made for long nails so you can get the whole patten, or you can choose what parts of the pattern you want to use. As you can see I have a bit different pattern on each nail but I really like that you can choose what part you like better and play with it.
I went for the classic combination of red and white, and I think it looks great. I was so excited when I stamped the design on the nails so there are some imperfections and missing spots, but even though I think it turned out pretty nice! I can't wait to try this stamp when I have a bit longer nails, I was thinking about using 3 different colors for the stamp. I tried it on paper and it looked great, like a real knitted Christmas sweater.
Another thing I really like about this stamp is the variety of designs you can create by using a single row and create your own combinations. You can do a few rows of hearts or only the snowflakes, to create your desired sweater look.
For this mani I used two coats of my favorite simple red, GADE Rodeo Drive and stamped with Essence white Stamp Me! polish. The topped it with one coat of Poshe.
As you can see, my third plate is also a themed plate and this time I included some lovely Russian themed designs. You can find on this plate the Matryoshka dolls, a flowery pattern and berries. This plate also has Cheburashka which is a cute creature with a lovely story (I've already planned a cute mani for this little guy) and the Russian embroidery pattern which happens to looks much like Christmas pattern, so that's a great multifunctional pattern. :)
As my previous plates, these are large designs as well. The middle row has the big designs which are about 2x1.6 cm and the rest of the designs are supposed to fit most nail sizes.
I have so many ideas for designs to make with this plate, so I guess you will be seeing these quite a lot for the next few posts :)
I hope you like this plate and the designs I've created, and if you would like to purchase this plate or any of my previous plates, you can get them at my new Etsy store.
I would love to know what you think about my new plate and the latest mani I've created with it.
What colors would you choose to create your perfect Christmas sweater look?
