Impala Na Mira 3D

June 11, 2013

It's been a while since my last post, just was a bit busy these past few days, but I wanted to share with you this mani I did a week ago.
I wanted to try my new Brazilian nail polish by Impala for a while now, and I decided to go for a simple design with an accent finger.
I applied one coat of Wet n Wild Black Creme on all fingers except for the ring finger, and then added one coat of Impala Na Mira 3D, which contains dark silver holo glitter in black jelly base. It was quite sheer on it's own so I decided to layer it over the black base.
The formula is really good and the glitter coverage was great, but I was a bit disappointing that it was so sheer. I was hoping not to use a base coat for it but when I realized it would be a bit too sheer for me even after 3 coats.
The holo glitter was sooo sparkly and beautiful in the sun, it was a delight to look at it. In shade it was less impressive, it looked plain silver without the holo effect, but still pretty.
For the accent finger I applied one coat of Barry M Pomegranate which has really great coverage. I used striping tape to create the triangle shape, painted this part with black and once dried, I aligned the striping take around the existing triangle and painted over the black part with the holo polish. Once all dried I applied one coat of Poshe to seal the design.
I love how simple and pretty this came out, and you can never go wrong with a holographic polish, right? :)

I think I'm going to try doing that at home, but I'm not really good with the striping tape.
