Hello there, lovelies! In this post I've decided to briefly talk about a few must-have makeup products that I believe are a base for a good makeup look, these items which allow us to enhance our most important facial features - our mesmerizing eyes and luscious lips.

Despite makeup being one of my greatest loves, my everyday makeup look doesn't include a fancy eyeshadow scheme or a bold lipstick. Usually you will find me wearing a couple of basic eye products, a tinted lip balm and a light foundation, if any at all. On days I need to wear a fancier makeup for evening or a event, I still reach for some basic makeup products like neutral eye shadows that will compliment my eyes and a classic red lipstick that you can't really go wrong with. So if you are anything like me and you like the good old "basic" makeup style, I think you'd have fun exploring these recent discoveries with me, which seem to be just perfect for this mission.

In today's post I'm going to share with you my current manicure, which I decided to match to the blouse I wore this week for PUPA's makeup event (which I will be telling you all about very soon!). Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to photograph my nails with the blouse, but to give you a better idea of how it looked, I would describe it as a military green, and the collar of the blouse had gold round studs. So you probably understand why I chose to match these colors together for my manicure. ;)



When I got this blouse, I already knew that there was a perfect match for it by name and color - it was GA-DE Military Style, a smoked gray with teal undertone.
I discovered by chance that this polish was a perfect dupe for Zoya Evvie, so this was a nice surprise for me.

I applied two coats of this creamy base for a perfect coverage.

I decided to pair this color with a metallic gold - GA-DE Gold Glamour, a gold foil that has a slight silver tone to it. I sponged the gold over the tips to create a gradient look.
I also added some glitter over the tips to make it more sparkly and interesting. The glitter I used was Essence Make It Golden which has a warmer shade of gold glitter and shimmer to it.
I applied one coat of Poshe to seal the design.



This combination worked really well for me, and although I don't usually wear this color (well, I wore it for two years straight while serving in the military a few years back, but never on my nails!), I ended up loving this look and the color combo!
I love it when I manage to surprise myself with new colors that I thought I would never wear. I guess I just need to try new stuff more often!

Below you can see the bottle shots of both colors in shade, I think these colors look really great both in shade and in the sun. GA-DE Military Style appears to be lighter in this photo and it looks more gray, and GA-DE Gold Glamour looks like a very cold shade of gold.

I just love the setup of these photos, they seemed to match the theme so well! I spotted this green sprout that was growing on a stone wall, and I thought it would be a lovely place to take these photos. I love how they turned out! I just hope that these sunny days will stay with us a bit longer, so I can take more beautiful photos outside.

Have you tried lately colors that you never thought you would, and how did that worked out for you?

This week I got the chance to review one of the colors from the new Crystallic Matte Nail Color collection from the Israeli brand GA-DE. This textured collection is a the latest addition to the brand's range of colors, the effect is very similar to the well known Liquid Sand by OPI.
As you probably already noticed, the Liquid Sand / Crystal / Sugar effect is one of the hottest trends, and I previously tried these polishes by various brands such as OPI, Zoya, Dance Legend, and even the Israeli brand Chic which released a similar collection a while ago.
Despite the fact that there's not much innovation in this, it's still exciting for me to see that the Israeli brands are keeping up with the rest of the word and launching new trendy collections.
 

GA-DE Gold Sugar has an impressive gold sand effect. This polish consists of gold micro glitter that dries to a gritty finish with a crystal-like look. The formula was pretty dense, which allowed to achieve a relatively good coverage with one coat, although I proffered to use two coats for a perfect coverage. Drying time was quite fast, instructions recommend to wait about five minutes to let it completely dry into the crystal finish.
I have to admit that I wasn't expecting too much from this polish, since I have tried several brands with this effect, but I was surprised with how great it looked on the nails. I think it did a great job and gives the nails a luxurious look without an effort.

Going through my collection, it was easy to notice that GA-DE Gold Sugar is very similar to
OPI Honey Ryder, so I decided to compare these two side by side. I took some closeup photos, but the differences don't translate very well to the photos, and they are a bit more noticeable in real life.

I have noticed that there a few differences, first is that OPI's shade is a bit warmer and more yellow tones, and the formula is thicker than GA-DE's, which makes OPI a one-coater while GA-DE requires two coats.

GA-DE's polish consists of micro glitter and some small hex glitter, and while it seems at first look that OPI's polish consists of micro glitter alone, at a closer look I have noticed that it also contains a tiny glitter, much smaller than GA-DE's, and barely noticeable.

I came to a conclusion that despite the minor differences, these two colors are very much alike, and that GA-DE Gold Sugar is a pretty close to be a dupe of OPI Honey Ryder.

My experience with this nail polish was really good, the brush is really comfortable to work with (it's slim, round and long) and the formula is creamy and easy to apply. The first coat left a good coverage with a few bald spots, but the second coat evened it out for a perfect finish.

Drying time was fast as promissed, but the finish wasn't as glossy as I expected it to be. From my experince with other polishes from this company, some of the non-quick dry polishes were much glossier once dried.

This fact didn't bother me much because I always apply a glossy top coat to make the designs last longer.

For the pictures I applied two coats of GA-DE Crystallic Melodic Blue 38, and one coat of Poshe Top Coat.

I made this cute pastel ice cream design for this weekend and I completely fell in love with it. It was quite easy to make and the result is so pretty and fun, so I'm very happy to share it with you ladies.

I started with two coats of my favorite nude color Essence Iced Latte, then stamped the net design to create the waffle look. I used Cheeky CH11 plate and L'oreal Mauvelous as my stamping polish.
I used a dotting tool to create the dripping ice cream waves, and chosetwo lovely pastel colors; Essie Mint Candy Apple and GA-DE Marhsmallow.
Creating the dripping shape was easier than expected, but I do wish I had a larger dotting tool to make it even easier. Since mine had a really small/fine edge, I had to repeat the dabbing motion a few times to create the desired shape, and then I applies a stroke of the same color on the free edge.
I wanted to add some sparkle to the tips and make it more interesting, so I applied on the dripping tips a bit of fabulous OPI Which is Witch to finish this look and create the "sprinkles" look.
To seal the design I used Poshe fast drying top coat.

The result was delicious! I had so much fun wearing this design and I think it's really easy to execute and get great results even if you don't consider yourself as a pro nail artist. It doesn't require a high skill level and the result is very impressive, so if you haven't tried something like this yet, I really recommend this design to you.

Today I want to show you a lovely and simple manicure I did using water decals from Born Pretty Store.
I was very happy to try new designs of the water decals since I really enjoyed using them the the last time, I just love how easy and fun they are to use, and the result is so pretty.

For this manicure I used a few water decals from the BOP152-155 designs. At a first glance I thought that these were all full nail designs, but then I realized they are just placed like that and in fact these are many small decals. I picked a few of my favorite designs and I applied them over dry nail polish.

Application is really easy - you just cut the image you want and soak it in water for a few seconds. Then remove the backing paper and place the decals on the nails. I used a tissue paper to soak the water and pressed the decals into place. I advice applying a top coat once the decals are dry to protect the design.

I really love the result, I was surprised how lovely and romantic this mani turned out. I wasn't sure it will work with this bright color, but I totally love it!

The polish I used as a base for this design is GA-DE - Fruit 383. It's a bright coral pink with a hint of neon, it appears to be a bit more orange in photos, while it's actually more pink. In any case, this is a gorgeous bright color and I didn't have anything quite like this in my collection.  For the photos I used two coats of this polish and once coat of Poshe top coat.

Recently the Israeli brand GA-DE Cosmetics released a new addition to their line of nail polish, and of course I grabbed some of them for myself.

This company has various finishes and a large selection of colors, but nothing really had me excited  until this collection came out. I have a lot of their polishes and I really love this brand, so I would be happy to recommend them to you.

Green Garnet 821 is a shimmery dark green which I think might be a dupe for Essie Dive Bar. This color is really rich and gorgeous, it even looks a bit duo chrome in the bottle but it didn't really show on the nails. 

I'm not a big fan of greens but this color is definatly wearable for me and Iliked it!

For this photo I used 2 coats, no top coat.

Green Saphire 820 is a duo chrome shimmery green that reminded me of China Glaze Unpredictable from the Bohemian collection. I wouldn't say this is a dupe because I think it's a bit darker, but defiantly looks like is could be another color from this collection. This is also 2 coats, no top coat.

Gold Dust 813 is a glass flecked polish consist of tiny gold and red tiny flakes is a slightly tinted base. I couldn't tell the color of the base since it was very sheer, but it wasn't clear either. I needed 3 coats for a good coverage.

This one could be a perfect dupe for PUPA 809 Gold Deco from the new Diamond Deco collection (PUPA's collection includes 4 shades, and it looks like GA-DE have the dupes for all four of them, 3 of them are quite the same and another one is a bit different but still could be a good alternative).

Tangerine Garnet 815 is the same as Gold Dust but the base is more pink/red tinted. It looks like the glass flecks in these two polishes are the same, but because of the tinted base it looks different. The final color on the nails is somewhere between orange and brown. This is dupe for PUPA 810 Copper Deco. I only needed 2 coats, no top coat.

Gypsy Fever 816 is has the same pink/red base color as Tangerine Garnet but the glass flecks in it are mainly red and some are silver/light blue. Actually it's really interesting how these polishes have different combinations of the same base color and glass flecks, and they create these different shades. This one is not a dupe so there's something nice about that :) Also used 2 coats for the photos, no top coat.

For some reason I really love dupes, but I was mainly happy to see something different from GA-DE Cosmetics. We rarely get to see something interesting around here from Israeli brands, and this was refreshing even though we have PUPA's collection here as well, but somehow this gives me hope that we will be seeing more interesting colors and finishes from this brand.
