Swatch & Review: Ga-De Twinkling SugarJuly 10, 2014
Hello ladies! It's been a while since my last nail polish post. I guess my beauty obsession took over the blog lately, but don't you worry because I've got plenty more of new nail colors to share with you.
Today I chose to show you a recent release from Ga-De Cosmetics, a new and fabulous color to their Crystallic Matte Nail Color range - Ga-De Twinkling Sugar.
Hope you'll like the photos and enjoy the post!
The initial collection launched with six textured effect colors (see all colors and my swatch of Gold Sugar), and since then Ga-De gradually added three more colors; First there was Black Sugar which I reviewed on the blog before, and about a month or so Teal Sugar (58) and Twinkling Sugar (57) were added to the range. At first I thought it was a bit odd that these colors weren't released along with all the entire collection, but to be honest I actually like the surprise of finding new colors on the Ga-De nail polish shelves, and it always makes me want to grab some more colors to add to my stash.
Ga-De Twinkling Sugar is a faaaabulous dark teal glitter that dries to a textured effect finish.
It mostly consists of teal-blue sparkly particles in a teal jelly base, but look up closely and you can spot gold and copper colors as well. The colors and texture of this nail polish make me think of a buried treasure under the sea.
In person the color and the sparkle are completely amazing, I'm not even sure that I managed to capture it good enough, but I hope these photos will give you a glimpse of this beauty.
Thanks to Ga-De's new wide brush (see old vs new) and the easy formula, Twinkling Sugar is a pleasure to apply. I got a surprisingly good coverage with just two easy coats, taking in mind that the first one was rather sheer. The new brush is super easy to work with and it's curved flat edge works lays perfectly at the cuticle, leaving you with a crisp lines and barely any cleanup needed.
I was glad to see that all of Ga-De's previous colors were re-released with the new brush, and I already love them even more!
For me this nail polish was a pure pleasure, and I can't wait to see which new colors Ga-De will release in the future for this textured range.
